Electrical and Computer Engineering Distance Master Course

General Information

Electrical and Electronics Engineering Distance Master course is mainly for professionals who want to get further qualification in the field of their occupation. The standard study period is six semesters. All the exams and scientific projects are passed by the end of the 5th semester and the 6th semester is for Master thesis work. Together with self-studying in each semester there are also on-campus lectures on weekends (Fridays and Saturdays) during four weeks and there is one-week course from Monday till Saturday. The Master course extends theoretical knowledge and practical skills in electrical and electronics engineering field provided during the Bachelor study. Organized as a specific sequences of modules the course offers a deep specialization in Embedded Systems – a fast growing branch of today‘s information and communication technologies. Wide range of elective modules stimulates expansion of knowledge and skills in media technology and economics. It is also focused on soft skills teaching.
The course has module structure. Successful completion of a module is provided with credits, the amount of which depends on the corresponding module average work load. Work load includes both coursework - activity in the classroom and pre-and after courses work.
The study details can be found in the study and examination regularities of the corresponding study program. Course starts in the winter semester. The study fees for the materials such as books, teaching papers, scripts and on-campus lectures are 950 € per semester.

Academic Goals

The aim of the course is to acquire special knowledge and engineering work methods in order to train the students to act independently in all the spheres of electrical, electronics and communication technologies. Graduates will be able to apply studied scientific approaches and gained professional knowledge to resolve diverse interdisciplinary problems. Participation of the students in R&D projects contributes to their personality development and advancement in social, economic and occupation skills. After successful finishing the course graduates are awarded with Master of Engineering academic degree.

Career Prospects

The Electrical Engineer is one of the traditional engineering professions and has a great number of diverse professional applications. The profession occupies  such  fields as planning, developing, designing, manufacturing, testing, quality control, implementing and marketing of electrical components, devices, equipment and installations in almost all areas and parts of economy (electrical and electronics industry, power engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, medical engineering, etc.).
